Apply for PAN &amp; TAN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>These are necessary for obtaining income tax exemptions, filing income tax returns, and managing financial transactions. <em>(In the case of a Section 8 Company, there is no need to apply separately for PAN and TAN. Both are automatically issued along with the Certificate of Incorporation)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>2. Apply for NGO Darpan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration on the NGO Darpan portal is mandatory for opening a bank account in the name of the NGO. It also enables access to government grants and enhances the organization&#8217;s credibility and transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>3. Open a Bank Account<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open a current account in the NGO\u2019s name by submitting the registration documents, PAN, NGO Darpan registration, and ID\/address proofs. This account is essential for handling donations, grants, and other transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>4. Apply for 12A &amp; 80G<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>12A<\/strong>: Gives income tax exemption to your NGO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>80G<\/strong>: Allows donors to claim tax deductions for donations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>5.
